The gospel tells us that through Christ we have been reconciled to God and adopted by him as our loving Father. No longer orphans having to make life work in their own power, we are free for the first time to live authentically. Jesus came to save sinners, those freely acknowledging their need of a Savior. First John 1:9 tells us if we confess our sins, he is faithful to heal us! It is our joy to give generously to God in response to all he has done for us.
